Katydid Hill is a farmer owned herbal tea farm and apothecary where we are committed to growing 100% of the herbs in our teas and elixirs. We grow herbs on 6 acres in Orwigsburg, Pa, process everything by hand in our certified kitchen, and sell primarily at farmers markets, on our webstore, and to small shops and grocers. This year we’ll be a tiny crew of 3-5 people working together to keep all aspects of the farm business running. Chamomile is our favorite crop to grow around here, and we specialize in crafting the most aromatic and flavorful cup of chamomile tea you’ve ever had. We believe that the flavor is the medicine and craft each blend to delight, uplift, or simply meet you where you are at.
Katydid Hill is co-owned by Katelyn and Ben, partners in love and farming, and grew out of Tooth of the Lion Farm - an herb farm established by Katelyn in 2016. The change in farm name represents a refocusing of our product line, as well as a realignment of our farm values in celebration of love and connection. We are excited to be going into our seventh season, with both solid systems in place and a few new exciting projects that we’ve got planned.
